NICO CALARA

KINESIOLOGIST

Nico completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology with a specialization in Pedagogy at the University of the Fraser Valley. He also holds a Diploma in Sports Science and pursued further education through continuing courses in Personal Training, Soft Tissue Release, Athletic/Kinesiotaping, and The McGill Method with BackFitPro.


His professional experience spans across various settings, including clinics, fitness studios, corporate wellness, and sports teams, where he primarily assisted clients recovering from injuries related to motor vehicle accidents (ICBC), the workplace, and athletic activities. His roles have ranged from conducting ergonomic assessments and pre-placement employment screens to assisting strength and conditioning coaches at secondary schools and providing athletic training for semi-professional soccer clubs.


Nico's approach to rehabilitation and wellness emphasizes a combination of exercise and education, with a focus on empowering clients to take charge of their own care and return to their ideal lifestyle. This holistic approach aligns with his philosophy of highlighting the importance of continuous learning and self-autonomy in long-term health and well-being. Aside from his professional commitments, Nico finds solace in outdoor activities like trail running, hiking, and backpacking. These pursuits not only align with his interests but also enhance his purpose and passion for leading an active lifestyle.
